Each generation has different views on online dating and technology as a whole. Urban Social have created this informative infographic on the topic which is divided into the following 6 sections: 1) Generation Z – born between 19. Very similar in attitude to tech as Generation Z, with 22% having tried dating online. This group remembers a time before tech was so accessible but they embrace what it has to offer. This generation has a somewhat love/hate relationship with technology, preferring more traditional ways of communicating.Social media is part of their very fabric and 27% have tried online dating through a website or app. Often more interested in casual relations, with 21% having signed up to a dating site or app. Becoming adults before tech was mainstream, they’re prone to pessimism but rebel against the more traditional generation above them. They seek quality, long-term relationships whilst being self-assured and independent. Very wary of technology and value security, safety and marriage.Lots of the time their story will be that they’re in a foreign country and don’t have the means to pay for travel expenses to come see you. An infographic created by e Harmony shows that more than half of Americans fabricate parts or all of their dating profiles — a statistic attributed to the global research agency Opinionmatters.Age, height, weight, and income are just some of the characteristics people beef up to make themselves look and sound more attractive.We’re back to Phacutal’s research, which cites that 33% of women have sex on the first date they met with someone online, but that’s not really the bad news (people can do whatever they want with their bodies).The bad news comes with the second part of that stat — four out of five don’t use protection.
